KZN-based Sage Trans – specialists in plant, transport and bulk material handling services – has extended its portfolio of plant hire equipment, with the investment in a new CASE 1021F wheel loader from CASE Construction Equipment SA.
“The recent addition of a robust CASE 1021F wheel loader to our fleet, forms part of the company’s expansion programme, which is geared to efficiently meet growing demand for plant hire, not only in KwaZulu-Natal, but throughout the country,” says Lenny Naicker, Sage Trans. “Our commitment to our broad customer base, encompasses a pledge to supply dependable machines required for specific tasks, even the most challenging projects – whether it’s for a day, a month, or longer.”
“This new machine complements our fleet of CASE wheel loaders, excavators and backhoe loaders, which is used in diverse industries, including aggregate mining, waste management, water services, civil engineering and construction.”
“The Case 1021F wheel loader – designed for optimum performance, enhanced productivity, increased operator comfort and greater safety on site – meets all our project requirements. With advanced features for improved performance, this flexible machine is able to balance safely on high banks, turn in tight areas and grasp large loads. An important feature is fuel efficiency. This machine offers a 10% increase in fuel economy and fuel savings can be further improved with the standard engine shutdown feature, which allows control of engine idle time.”
“What’s even more critical than our investment in quality machines, is a good partnership with the suppliers of equipment. We have worked closely with CASE Construction in KwaZulu-Natal for many years and we have the assurance of a dependable maintenance and support service and the ready availability of reasonably priced replacement parts.”
According to CASE Construction’s Sales Representative, Cindy Petersen, the CASE 1021F wheel loader is a 24 Ton machine, powered by a CASE FPT Tier 3 8.7 litre common rail engine, with a maximum power of 239 kW at 1800 RPM. This machine is fitted with heavy-duty axles and 26.5R25 L5 radial tyres and ride control as standard.
To achieve optimum productivity in demanding environments, stability of this machine is provided by a longer wheelbase and lower centre of gravity. The 4,2 m³ bucket capacity enables efficient truck loading and aggregate operations and efficiency is enhanced by four power modes, which allow operators to match the engine power with the task at hand.
Maintenance is simplified through a full raise-up hood, environmentally-safe fluid drains, sight gauges and conveniently placed ground level checkpoints.
CASE Construction’s solutions service also encompasses a technical advisory service, maintenance contracts, assistance during breakdowns and the repair and maintenance of all machines.
